CrossFit Memphis Gym – Memphis, TN

Here’s Mike and I giving a quick walk through of CrossFit Memphis. We point out a few of the unique pieces of exercise equipment we use that aren’t typical of a traditional American fitness center as well as provide some clips of people using each item.

Gymnastics rings, Olympic weightlifting bumper plates, weightlifting platforms, powerlifitng specialty bars, sleds, chains, bands, mma mats, muay thai bags and pads are a few of the items mentioned.

The best part of the gym in actuality is not so much the cool equipment but the unique community and environment in which the training takes place. Everyone is here for the same reasons and knows each other on a first name basis.

Eric Red Schafer-Boxing Workout Week 4

Eric Red Schafer does a wrestling workout during the fourth week of his UFC on Versus training camp. This was filmed on 2-16-10 at the Duke Roufus Academy in Milwaukee, WI. This video pays homage to “Rocky 4″. Red is a grappler and sucks at striking, but he is working hard to get better. He is slow, needs to work on keeping his chin down and hands up, and has a long way to go, but oh well… He writes a weekly blog on his training camp at redschafer.net

Strength and Conditioning Training Crossfit

This workout does involve punching but is not designed for a boxer. This is mainly just a crossfit workout. I have changed to title to help out with the confusion. Still this program wouldn’t hurt for someone training to fight. A Great way to build up your strength endurance.

Crossfit Workout

Using the double end bag is great for cardio. We combined our homemade double end bag with other exercises like smith lunge jumps, box squats, squats using bands, and squat jumps. I wanted to give my legs a good workout also so i threw in squats with the bands just for variations. This is probably one of the best cardio sessions i’ve had in awhile. we use 4 2 min rounds and 2-3 minute rest periods. We are not boxers nor claim to be, but we do utilize it because it does give you a good workout.

Heavy Bag Workout by Krav Maga Street Defence

This schedule for training is suitable for building up one´s endurance and stamina, speed and power of punch.
You can do this schedule with a partner in turns so that each can work for one minute with the heavy bag or you can do it alone, optional 2 or 3 minutes training with 1 minute break.
If you do the training alone, you can absolve a
cross-fit-circuit training in the break.
