Need Help selecting a single speed bike please?
Looking to supplement my crossfit workouts with some single speed riding. I’m looking at the Specialized Langster-NY, the Bianchi San Jose or the Felt Curbside or Trek Soho. Any suggestions?
I personally rank them in this order:
1. Bianchi San Jose
2. Felt Curbside
3. Trek Soho
4. Specialized Langster
However, opinions are like ***holes and everybody has one.
Army PT, CrossFit, and fat burning pills a good idea?
My husband is in the Army. They do PT (exercises, running, etc) every morning. Weeks ago we didn’t do any kind of exercises at all. Now, he’s took it upon himself to start the CrossFit workout. He’s been keeping up with this and eating healthy for about a week or so now and has lost 10 lbs. He’s still overweight though and failed his last pt test so they put him on extra pt (doing pt 2x a day instead of 1). Now, he wants to start taking some sort of fat burning pills to increase his progress. I don’t think it’s such a good idea because his body is working hard enough already. Is it a good idea?
This is really more ethics. Pills can be supplements…like whey protein..fish oil etc. But they can also be dangerous to your body. Fat burning pills are a step beyond supplements and you have to know what you are doing. Cheap meijer brand ones don’t work, and GNC grade pills are dangerous to the body. I would advise him to just keep it up. In the end, the man in him should want it for himself, not let a pill help him. Because the pill won’t always be there for his body to depend on.
Tips —
Drink very cold water before every meal (cools body and speeds metabolism)
Not only eat healthy, but stop eating when the body is satisfied…. you should be able to go for a light walk or jog after eating without throwing up…but no one ever can…because we all eat too much.
If all else fails, not to get into your business, but "intimate relations" (if he’s on top) burns 100-300 calories depending on duration and intensity, also uses abdominal, chest, shoulders, and triceps….
