BODYBUILDING. I’m very underweight and thin. I just started working out and my goal is to build muscle.?

I want to change the way i look. I want to have a body like Bruce Lee. I don’t want to have a bodybuilder’s body because i know that’s impossible for my frame. I was advised to buy Whey Protein which I did. I bought 5 pounds f Designer Whey Protein. But when should i intake it? before workout? afterworkout? how many minutes before? after? how much? please help me. I don’t know. Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, I’m using Crossfit.com as my daily source of workout.

Any more inputs on how to achieve my goal would be greatly appreciated!

www.bodybuilders.com is a great site for workouts and supplement advise for people wishing to body build or sculpt their body. Whey protein is a great way to start. From a body builders prospective you should be taking in at least 1g of protein for each pound that you weigh, although many people will tell you to take in at least 2. That being said, having a body like bruce lee isnt exactly a reasonable goal, he devoted his life to fitness and spent every waking hour working and reading to obtain it.

On non-workout days try taking 1-2 shakes a day i.e. 8-16 ounces or 1-2 scoops however the servings workout, im not familiar with that brand.

On workout days its preference, some people prefer a pre-workout shake or a post-workout shake, I personally prefer both.

Try to start working out at least 3-4 days a week weight training, and cardio every day as long as your schedule allows. The site cited above offers many different workouts to fit your personal needs and abilities.

I would advise staying away from any other products in the field until you are more familiar with their affects on your body. That being said diet and sleep are key factors to shaping your body. You’ll have to find a diet that fits your budget, and you needs, and there is no diet that is superior to another, many that fit one person wont fit another.

The best thing you can do to start is find your motivation and keep to it. Working hard is the only way to obtain our goals. Don’t expect instant results, but with hard work and determination you can definitely get there… Good Luck!

Creatine has so much sugar. The kind I use recommends two doses a day? I get stronger but not leaner Y?

In the past, I am 275, i want to get down to 230. everytime I use creatine i shoot up to 290. I am 6’6”. I am currently in ketosis and I am consuming 1.5 times my lean body mass in grams protein. All my carbs comes from veggies. I want to use EAS Creatine product right after my workouts but will it negate my goal of leaner body? I do crossfit for working out. I takes allot of pushing to do the workouts because I am in a state of ketosis, weight is dropping fast performace too though. I know creatine would help for the short explosive workouts but it makes me so damn heavy at the same time. which kills me on the body weight excercises. please any advice please. right now i am just oing to keep going ahead and maybe when hit target weight add some creatine and monitor closely what happens. but i dont know.

Actually, Creatine IS sugar… a specific type of sugar that your body uses to produce ATP among other things.

Your body uses that sugar to get energy during a workout to build muscle and prolong the workout. Since muscle is heavier than fat, the more muscle you build, the heavier you’ll get.
If you use the Creatine to help prolong workouts that are mostly cardiovascular, that should help you to burn more fat and slim down without building so much muscle.

What is a good exercise routine?

I’ve looked up crossfit, P90x, some random website called intense workout, body building….how do I choose? My goal is to be strong and agile, and a overall, well rounded individual that can handle anything physically strenuous like fighting or parkour, problem is I am absolutely ignorant of how to lift weights properly etc…. Any suggestions?
its not that I am excessively fat or that there is something wrong with my diet. I just want to get stronger to do exciting things like parkour with ease

Sweet..you used ignorant properly. I love that!

Anywase check out http://getfit-4-life.com. After reading his program and routines I realized what was wrong with my workout when it came to weights and started getting better results.

Even after years of lifting weights this program taught me a better more efficient way to workout and receive quick and seriously awesome benefits from it. It’s a more controlled way of moving that utilizes your muscle 100% correctly and gives you some serious benefits including less workout time and less chance of injury.

I’ve seen guys and girls in the gym working their weights like they are going out of style – if they only knew a more controlled movement would give great results than maybe they wouldn’t spend all their time hogging the equipment!

Info on genetic enhancements on humans?

I’ve been hearing more about how it is now possible to genetically enhance an adult to make them more athletic. How does this work? How safe is it? What are side effects? What’s the legality? How expensive is it? What kind of difference could it make?

I’m currently overweight, on a healthy diet of veggies fruits, lean meats, and complex carbs. I work out multiple times a day, but my body isn’t changing as effectively as others do. I’ve been at a healthy diet and workout routine for years now and am still not achieving the results I desire. In 2 years I’ll be in BUD/s and I feel like despite doing Crossfit and other things I’m still not going to be where I need to be.

Please give me your sources!
Both of you are wrong so far as I know for a fact it has been tested and worked perfectly fine on mice. I’ve been to the labs doing the research myself. I was wondering on human application. Don’t say it’s sci-fi because I KNOW it’s going on as the government has been upset by it and talking about ethics laws. Can someone please answer who isn’t guessing?

there is currently no way to genetically modify an adult to make then more athletic. Sorry, but you were misinformed. maybe in a few more years

im trying to be a fireman & i have SVT could that hold me back from becoming one?

id like to say im in pretty good shape im only 21 and ive been working out for about a year n half and i also just finished my EMT so im starting fire college soon but sometimes if i workout hard which i do crossfit kinda like p90x and i bend over the wrongway to pick something up my heart will start to flutter and my heart rate will be bounding and very fast sometimes a lil painfull but if i eat right and pace myself 90% of the time im fine so basically im able to perform but what im wondering is i kno they ask if you have a past medical history could they hold me back from being a fireman if i have SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia)?

It just depends…discuss it with your doctor and be honest with yourself about your limitations. I have SVT and was a police officer. I had surgery but still suffer from it today…so I think you should know better than anyone. Pair that knowledge up with the knowledge of your doctor and don’t let online opinions from uneducated people decide for you…good luck!
