For Pablo.... You have obviously never done crossfit if you think P90X and Insanity are harder. I do all 3 of these workouts and 90% of the time Crossfit is way harder than either of the Beachbody programs.

You will get results but they won't be the huge results you'd get if you follow the meal plan. A couple of friends of mine did P90X together awhile ago.. one ate healthier (ie whole grains, more veggies) but didn't stick to the nutrition plan and only did about 3/4 of her workouts (she lost 25 lbs in 90 days) the other went with both the nutrition plan and all of the exercises and lost about 75 lbs. Personally... I follow the nutrition plan with a few cheats and I'm pretty strict with the workouts and I've lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and I've toned up a lot. You don't have a whole lot to lose to hit your ideal weight so you may be alright just eating healthier. Keep me posted on how you do!!

For Derek and Jon:

You are obviously crossfit fans, i can only ask you to try insanity or P90X, the intensity is way much harder than crossfit, is bootcamp style, (military, football style) Crossfit is a "slower pace" training, you are way wrong thinking that insanity and P90X together, equals to part of the crossfit, obviously you ve never had done insanity or P90X. Plus crossfit movements are changing all the time, not all the movements are right, is much easier you can hurt your self.

Mr. Shiply, I saw you on CNN and I was hoping that you might help me verify whether or not Michael David Watts, dob 9-8-71, was ever a Navy Seal. My daughter met him on Match.com, he professes to have been a Seal. This comes after the guy BEFORE him also said he was an ex-Seal. I outed him by asking him his class number. However the same tactic did not work with Watts. He claims to have been in class 213, broke his arm, was placed in the next class, 214, then while in class 214 someone died so the class was disbanded or something like that, then he was admitted into class 216 and subsequently became a Seal. So now he is in Vet Court for a heroin charge. I believe this man is a phoney and a liar trying to seduce women by stealing the glory and valor of the great men whom actually were the true warriors and protectors of our country. I can imagine how busy you are, seeing you say how many creeps have treaded on such hallowed ground on a daily basis, but if you could verify this for me or send an email with where I could do same, I would be very greatful. Thank you very much for your service and amazing valor and fortitude. Your truly, Phillip Chapman

I use these for P90X and, as others have said, the only drawback is the length which makes it a little awkward for the exercises where the weights are close to your body. Other than that, they work great. They take up very little space and are quickly and easily adjusted. I'm very happy with them.

It works by increasing the amount of Hemoglobin in your blood. Hemoglobin carries oxygen around in your blood taking it to your muscles and taking away carbon dioxide(waste product). If you are starved of oxygen, over time your body will start producing more Hemoglobin to try and compensate. When you then run a race without the restrictor your body has alot more Hemoglobin in your blood so can carry more oxygen to your muscles more efficiently. Some people use Oxygen tents to sleep in which reduce the amount of oxygen they consume through an nights sleep. All this means is that your muscles will have more oxygen fueling them for longer. Their are drugs that some naughty athletes use to increase Hemoglobin levels but restrictors and tents are perfectly legal in sport.
