Adjustable Jump Rope Lengths

Basic adjustable jump rope exercises
- Have yourself stand up straight with both feet about a shoulder apart. Breathe deeply and rotate the rope. When the rope draws closer to your feet jump over it and land on both feet at the same time. Keep on doing this until you manage to get your own rhythm in using the jump rope. The breathing part is very important because it helps you determine the right rhythm for you.
- The next jump rope exercise is similar to the first one but with a few changes. As the first one, you start with your feet flat on the ground and apart. On this exercise, you will be using just one foot when you manage to get the rhythm. On your initial jumps use two feet when jumping and when you get the rhythm, use one foot when you’re jumping. The important thing to take note of this is that you have to ensure that you give equal repetitions on both your feet. Take note of your safety when doing this exercise.
- This next exercise is similar to the second jump exercise but the difference is, you would feel like your jogging since you will be using one foot when jumping but you will be using them in alternate order. For example when you rotate the rope, you can jump first using your left foot and then on the second rotation of the rope you can use the right foot. Make sure that you do equal repetitions on both feet.
- Another great way to use the jump rope is by doing the double jump exercise. This is where you will jump as high as you can and once your feet lift off the ground you should be able to have the rope rotated twice. This is a difficult exercise compared to the first three. You don’t have to worry about the rhythm here; the important thing here is you would be able to complete at least 5 to 10 repetitions. Take note that this is a very wearisome exercise.
