Crossfit for 19 yr old College Student?

I’m 19 years old and I work out before classes every week day for 1hr 1/2. I feel though that I’m not getting the results that I really want, and a friend of mine told me about Crossfit. He said that he does it, only for 3 days a week, and its the toughest, most intense workout that he’s ever done. It seems like he’s getting results, but, then again, he’s a guy, and doesn’t have to worry about a tummy. I would like some advice from others, on whether I can handle it, how to fit it in with my schedule of school and affordability. I would like to try it and I think I might like it.
Any comments from you all?
Oh, and I wouldn’t want to go to the same gym as the guy who told me about it…cause, there’s a mutual attraction and I really don’t want to embarrass myself….lol.
Thanks.
Is it good for people who really don’t have that much time to not be studying?

You will get stronger and leaner doing Crossfit than you will working out 1.5 hours in a gym! I have done crossfit for about 4 months and I’ve seen more results in 4 months than I did in 4 years going to a regular gym. Many of the crossfit workouts are completed in 15 minutes. Many people ask "how hard can it be if it’s only 15 minutes!?" TRUST ME, it’s the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. The WOD (workout of the day) changes every day so you never do the same thing. You could do crossfit for a year and not repeat the same workout. WODs are named after war heroes and women.

I would suggest going to www.crossfit.com and watching some of the videos. You can also go to you tube – there are tons of videos there.

Crossfit is scalable….meaning a 19 year old can do it and so can a 59 year old. Everyone does the same workout and yes you can handle it.
