This is a tough workout. My Fran time is 4:24, which puts me to shame when compared to the two in this video. That girl’s strength and endurance are insane.

CrossFit might not …
CrossFit might not have elite OL tech, but hey, they’re not aiming to be elite Olympic lifters. Nice effort and intensity, I do some CF stuff when I’m bored at the gym, great for burning calories. Better than sitting infront of a TV and eating chips while drinking pop.

I see the CrossFag weaklings are still debating the benefits of improper form and speedlifting. CrossFags are the guys in high school that took band instead of PE because they sucked at physical activity, and STILL do.

The pullups are …
The pullups are specific designed to increase power over a wider range of muscles, rather than just the set of muscles used by static pullups.
Don’t forget that Crossfit workouts do at times incorporate static pullups, kipping pullups serve a different purpose. As the goal of Crossfit is power and moving a load a long distance as quickly as possible, it is logical that we do kipping pullups.

id like to see you do fran in under 3 min. dont make comments on things you know nothing about. and they arent retarded pull ups, yeah they kip but it takes alot of endurance to do all of that with no rest. and if you have good form you wont injure yourself.

Wow. So many people …
Wow. So many people are so angry about this. I understand that some people are about the Crossfit definition of pull-ups. But here’s the thing: that’s how Crossfit defines a pull-up. It’s their definition, you can have another one if you like. I know that Crossfit helped me pass Marine Corps OCS and has made me stronger and healthier. If you like being a guy who hits the gym to just pump iron and look pretty, that’s fine. But if you really want to work hard, try Crossfit.
